Yes, we are fully wheelchair accessible. The majority of our tables are located on a single floor, and we also have a lift to provide easy access to the bedrooms. For convenience, there’s a ramp around the side of the building for entry to the hotel. Additionally, we offer a fully accessible room, "Scafell Pike," which features a wet room for added comfort.

Yes, we’d love to host your private event. We have a charming space called The Mayor’s Room, tucked just off the main pub area. It comfortably seats around 26 guests, making it perfect for intimate celebrations, family gatherings, or special occasions. Guests are welcome to check in from 3:00pm onwards (till 10:00pm), giving you plenty of time to settle in and make yourself at home. On the day of departure, we kindly ask that you check out from 8:30am - 11:00am so we can prepare the room for our next guests. Early check in and late check out can be requested upon booking

We’re passionate about dogs here! In fact, 9 out of 10 of our rooms are dog-friendly. Each of these rooms comes with a special welcome pack for your furry friend, including a bed, towel, dog bowl, and slip leads available upon request if you forget your own. In our bar area, we also serve "Sir Woof Chester," a tasty treat for dogs, along with home-cooked meals designed just for them. Your four-legged companion will feel right at home!

Free cancellation is available until 12pm the day before your arrival. Cancellations made after this time will incur a charge for the first night of your stay. For larger groups (3 rooms or more) we require a 14-day notice for cancellations. You will need to contact the hotel directly to cancel your booking. If you have booking via an online travel agent such as Booking.com or Expedia, you will need to cancel your booking directly through them via their platform.
